About the job Import Officer
The Import Officer ensures that all importations comply with Bureau of Customs regulations and other government-mandated requirements. This role is responsible for maintaining import process compliance, managing documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient import operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all importation processes comply with local and international customs regulations, tariffs, duties, taxes, and trade laws.
Oversee the preparation and submission of required customs documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, import permits) for smooth customs clearance.
Monitor and control costs related to importation, including shipping fees, tariffs, customs duties, and incidental expenses.
Work closely with shippers, customs officials, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure seamless import operations.
Prepare regular reports on import activities, highlighting cost savings, on-time delivery rates, and logistics service provider performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve import-related issues, including shipment delays, damages, and discrepancies.
Collaborate with customs brokers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve challenges and ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics (Import and Export), Customs Administration, or a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in importation and logistics, preferably from multinational companies.
Strong understanding of customs regulations, international shipping, tariffs, and trade compliance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Amenable to work in Carmona, Cavite
