Senior Data Engineer

We are recruiting a Senior Data Engineer (m/f) to strengthen our team in Lisbon, with the possibility of working on a hybrid basis.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on cloud-native solutions and data architecture;
• Strong experience in end-to-end data platform architecture and design, including data ingestion, modelling, storage, and orchestration (e.g., Medallion architecture);
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse), with openness to other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud;
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift);
• Solid proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Spark applied to data-related contexts;
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch);
• Knowledge of DevOps/DataOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines;
• Ability to implement data validation, lineage, documentation, and monitoring at scale;
• Proven experience in optimizing data pipelines and storage, focusing on performance, cost, and reliability;
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and make well-founded decisions;
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (required).
