About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join a fast-growing U.S. organization in the events space. In this role, you will handle the company's core financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth execution across payroll, accounting, and reporting activities.


You will be responsible for processing payroll, managing commissions, maintaining bookkeeping records in QuickBooks, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial oversight across departments.

This position requires precision, accountability, and the ability to work independently while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time.
  • Manage sales commissions and incentive programs.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial records are up to date.
  • Work collaboratively with management to improve processes and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in payroll, accounting or bookkeeping within fast moving environments.
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks, Gusto, and Settle.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
  • Strong stakeholder management with clear concise written and verbal communication in English (C1-C2)
  • Tech savvy problem solver who anticipates needs proposes solutions and executes with minimal oversight
  • Availability to align to US Pacific Time zone and to support occasional event related peaks

Additional Information:

  • PART-TIME: 20 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor
  • Work Hours: 9am to 1pm PST (flexible)
