Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Were looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us build and scale our infrastructure, ensuring reliable performance in fast-paced, high-impact environments. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and manage cloud environmentsplaying a key role in enabling rapid innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the companys DevOps strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure systems.
• Automate deployment and release pipelines to increase system efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Provision and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, including containers and VMs.
• Enforce security best practices including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability scans.
• Support CI/CD processes and collaborate with developers to streamline releases.
• Troubleshoot system and application issues across multiple environments.
• Stay current with trends and emerging tools in DevOps and infrastructure engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub, Minio, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL.
• Strong scripting/development skills in Python or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and agile development workflows.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of orchestration and workflow tools (Apache Airflow, Conductor, Ray).
• Industry certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, CKA) are a plus.
• Comfortable working with Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple projects.
• Passion for staying up to date with DevOps trends and technologies.

Additional Information:

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM-5PM EST 
• Full-Time: 40 hours per week
• Type of Contract: Independent contractor
