About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Loan Processing & Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing loan principal and interest (P&I) transactions and providing support with fund accounting operations. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our financial processes, especially in collaboration with asset managers, investment companies, banks, and funds.

Your Responsibilities

• Process loan principal and interest (P&I) payments accurately and efficiently.
• Support fund accounting activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with asset managers, investment firms, banks, and fund stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist with ad hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in loan processing, fund accounting, or a related role within asset management, investment companies, banks, or funds.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of loan processing and fund accounting practices.
• Familiarity with financial systems and tools used in asset management or banking.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Additional Information:

• Working Hours: 9am-5pm PT (flexible)
• Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri
• Type of Contract: Independent contractor
