About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and detail-obsessed Paid Search Media Buyer to join our client’s growing Marketing Agency in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you'll lead the charge on planning, executing, and optimizing high-performance paid search campaigns across Google, Bing, and beyond. Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the search plan including oversight of bid recommendations, execution details, budgets/accounting

  • Building & analyzing keyword lists, analyzing search volume and making recommendations

  • Analyzing performance metrics & bid strategy performance using dashboards and platform data

  • Deep understanding of client strategy, KPIs and business goals, with the ability to orient insights, optimizations, and recommendations around these goals

  • Adept at managing several accounts, clients, and internal teams with varying styles of communication

  • Crafting meaningful, client-facing insights and updates on performance, project status, and recommendations

  • Writing initial drafts of ad creative text ads based on briefing materials, website content and client direction

  • Participate in client and vendor calls/meetings with or in place of AD to establish relationship with clients

  • Strategize new tests, automations, use cases for Optmyzr and other automated tools

  • Trafficking, uploading, and QAing campaigns, harnessing the Bid Management Tool process

  • Monitoring product feeds and Google Merchant Center for ecommerce clients

  • Interfacing daily with direct search teams, engines and platforms

  • Staying on top of the latest updates regarding tools and User Interfaces (Google Ads, Microsoft, Bid Management Platforms, Skai, eMarketer, SEMrush, Search Engine Land, Adthena, etc.)

  • Completing budget tracking documents and reviewing with Search Manager

  • Alerting Manager of under or overspend, traffic abnormalities, and opportunities and optimization recommendations regarding spend and pacing the account

  • Participating in weekly search team meetings and offer ideas and suggestions to improve and evolve reporting processes, keywords, and creative

  • Creating and implementing campaign A/B test experiments to identify optimal campaign setup and structure

  • Actively researching and identifying valuable information/insights from other advertisers/competitors to improve user search experience and product


Requirements:

  • English proficiency (C1-C2 level).

  • Minimum +3 years of experience on Search campaigns (PPC/Google Ads/Bing)

  • BA/BS or equivalent

  • Google Ads certification required (Bing Ads a plus)

  • eCommerce experience a plus

  • Experience with all Google campaign types a plus

  • Organized with the ability to multitask

  • Team player with the ability to work independently

  • Strong presentation skills / experienced and comfortable interfacing with clients

  • Strong deck-building and report/dashboard capabilities

  • Constant focus on outcomes and solutions

  • Desire to learn and grow within our department, our clients, and yourself

  • Detail-oriented with strong understanding of marketing metrics and reporting

Additional Information:

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM PST (flexible)

  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week

  • Type of Contract: Independent contractor
