Cooks (Preference: Chinese Cuisine / Wok).

One of our employers is seeking a talented and experienced Cook to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of different cuisines, especially Chinese or Wok-style dishes. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Key duties :

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform MEP (mise en place) and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures.
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to create new and innovative menu items.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff when required
• Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and consistently
• Maintain high standards of quality in all dishes
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen
• Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines (Chinese Cuisine / Wok preferred)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Food handling and safety certification is an asset
