MAIN FUNCTION:
- The Chief Security Officer main duty is to manage the guarding activities of his assigned site.
- This requires a continual attendance on assignments; briefing & lecturing Security Guards & SOs on their duties and ensuring that our services always meet customers satisfaction.
- The Chief Security Officer needs to be a good leader. While he organizes and plans, he must also inspire employees with a vision of the organization. He also needs to be an effective communicator and liaise with employees, customers, and other managers of the Company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare in advance the roster for your site in collaboration with Control Centre and keep it updated regularly.
- Ensure to place the right man in the right place, while choosing, preparing and on-site training to new recruits adequately.
- Follow absences and leave requests and inform Control Centre accordingly.
- Always be proactive on planning for at least one week, all eventualities must be contemplated to avoid shortages.
- Be present morning and evening at change of shifts and ascertain that all posts are being covered properly for both day and night shifts.
- Make the necessary change in postings due to sicknesses; absences etc. and inform control room accordingly.
- Lecture the Guards and Officers regularly in order to improve their performances and build good relationship.
- Perform Night checks at least twice per month, to supervise your staffs.
- Be on call 24/24 hr to attend any emergency.
- Be intransigent towards good grooming.
- Maintain good relationship with management, admin staffs and prevent/avoid conflicts that may arise.
- Inform Control Centre of any abnormalities to be inserted in DS and follow up for necessary action. Impose your leadership, to bring about and maintain discipline.
- Be impartial treating all personnel without predisposition.
- Integrity and honesty towards the company must prevail.
- Always inform and liaise with the Regional Supervisor or Guarding Manager for advice before taking important decision.
- Always be prepared to take-up any cognate duties that may crop up, not with standing covering a post on a different site if necessary.
- Ensure every day that all and any abnormalities, is reported to the Regional Manager or the Control Centre.
- Survey and keep records of all company owned equipment. Follow up movements and ensure their good serviceability at all time. Investigate and report any misuse.
