About the job Junior Logistics Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Create custom invoices accurately and promptly for outbound and inbound shipments,  ensuring compliance with customs regulations and customer requirements.
  • Prepare bookings on the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, inputting shipment details, customer information, and other relevant data to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Upload Verified Gross Mass (VGM) information on time to ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of relevant shipping certificates as needed.
  • Provide support and assistance in the invoicing process, including verifying shipment details, reconciling invoices with booking records, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with our Belgium team to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, bookings, invoices, and certificates.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the team lead

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, with  strong understanding of shipping processes and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of ERPs such as SAP or similar systems, with the ability to input and retrieve data accurately.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures related to customs invoices, shipping certificates, and other documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Fluency in English & French; additional language skills are a plus.
