Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Support Service Engineer with extensive experience in L1 and L2 support, specifically in data-related fields such as data lakes, data platform products, and data governance. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities, a deep understanding of complex data structures, and proficiency in deriving technical solutions from ticket descriptions. This role requires hands-on development capability for L2 requests, operational oversight, and proactive management of support processes and communication guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Utilize profound knowledge of data lakes, data lakehouse services, and data platform products.
    • Analyze and ensure referential integrity of data structures and understand common models like star and snowflake schemata.
    • Strong SQL skills (e.g., Spark SQL, T-SQL, PL-SQL) and familiarity with Python/Pyspark for data transformations.
  • Support Services Management:

    • Establish and maintain communication guidelines and support processes.
    • Define standards and best practices within the support services domain.
    • Manage internal stakeholders effectively to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Data Governance:

    • Contribute to Data Governance initiatives with expertise in Data Quality Assurance and anomaly detection.
    • Conduct workflow efficiency and risk analysis, implementing strategies for consistency and accuracy of data services.
  • Operational Oversight:

    • Perform operational activities and monitor workflows to ensure efficient service delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in L1 support and 6+ years in L2 support, particularly in data-related domains.
  • Proficiency in SQL (Spark SQL, T-SQL, PL-SQL) and basic to good knowledge in Python/Pyspark.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI; familiarity with Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL Database, Snowflake, Azure Blob Storage, S3 Storage, and Postman is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices, with at least 2+ years of specific experience in Data Governance.
