Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Clerk to join an amazing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure smooth accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling & Banking:

  • Perform daily cash counts and ensure accurate cash management.

  • Collect remittances from cash sales and verify transactions.

  • Liaise with Brinks for secure cash collection services.

  • Prepare and deposit cash and checks for the groups bank accounts.

  • Maintain and manage petty cash transactions across the group.

Accounting & Reconciliation:

  • Properly record and reconcile amounts received from clients.

  • Post journal entries into the accounting system.

  • Reconcile control accounts, salesmen accounts, and debtors accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate and send debtors aging reports to relevant departments for review.

Invoice & Documentation Management:

  • Verify the accuracy of sales invoices and ensure proper filing.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Department for invoice-related queries and adjustments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
  • Skills:

    • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

    • Knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.

    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
