Job Purpose:
The job incumbent shall be responsible to convey emergency or non-emergency patients to and from their designated appointments in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

Key duties:

• Ensure the general welfare of patients or passengers in their care from showing empathy and providing reassurance.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure that patient journeys are planned and delivered in the most effective and efficient way.
• Ensure that their vehicle is safe and clean and that they are properly equipped at the start all times whilst on duty. 
• Provide appropriate and necessary assistance for patients to access vehicles.
• Ensure regular cleaning of vehicles, maintaining hygiene in the event of any patient spillage, in line with Infection Control Policy.
• Cooperate with colleagues to achieve the most effective operation for daily workloads.
• Report any accidents or near misses as set out in the Incident Reporting Procedure.
• Demonstrate care and understanding for patients can access vehicles, advising supervisor or manager where a different resource is required.
• Take care of their own Health & Safety and that of any other person who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
• Report and record any unsafe practices or workplace hazards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum SC.
• Valid Driving Licence for Goods Vehicle and Bus or Heavy Motor Car (Minimum 15 passengers).
• 5-7 Years Driving Experiences.
• Map Reading & Navigation.
• Basic Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act Legislations.
• Able to work on shift and flexible.
