Position Summary:
The Accounts Manager oversees the entire accounting team, ensures financial compliance, and supports strategic decision-making. This role involves managing financial operations, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management

    • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
    • Monitor cash flow and optimize resource allocation.
  2. Compliance and Auditing

    • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
    • Manage the preparation and submission of statutory reports (VAT, tax, etc.).
  3. Team Leadership

    • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
    • Assign tasks, review performance, and implement training programs for staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  4. Strategic Contribution

    • Analyze financial data to support strategic decisions.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
  5. Vendor and Stakeholder Management

    • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers and clients.
    • Ensure timely payments and collections while managing credit terms.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
