IBM Power System Engineer

Are you passionate about IT solutions and eager to work with cutting-edge technology? Our client is looking for a talented IBM Power System Engineer to join their IT Solutions department. This role involves using your analytical and technical skills to understand client needs and deploy IBM i Power Systems, ensuring high-performance IT infrastructure on-site or in the Cloud.

About the Role

As an IBM Power System Engineer, you will be part of the Managed IT Solutions (MIT) team. Your daily tasks will include client interactions and technical implementations, ensuring their IT infrastructure is optimized and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Improvements: Maintain, update, upgrade, and propose new solutions for client infrastructures
• Implementation and Configuration: Deploy and configure the latest infrastructure solutions (virtualization, backup, storage, disaster recovery, servers, etc.)
• Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve complex issues related to hardware, operating systems, firmware, or software
• Client Relations: Build strong relationships and provide professional advice to clients
• Project Management: Propose, design, and implement new projects

Initially, youll receive training from our top experts and support from a senior colleague. As you grow, youll have the opportunity to advance to a Senior/Expert System Engineer role.

Desired Profile

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and listening skills
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Communicative and enjoys client interaction
• More than 5 years of experience as an IBM i System Engineer

Nice-to-Have:

• Bilingual in English and French (A little bit of Dutch would be a plus)
• Curious and independent
• Experience or knowledge in technologies such as IBM AIX, IBM VIOS, IBM Flashsystems, Brocade SAN, Dell PowerProtect
• Flexible mindset, willing to work outside regular hours
