MAINTENANCE/MECHANIC

As Maintenance/Mechanic, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all equipment/machines/tools/forklifts/systems* directly or indirectly linked with the making and packing departments at PCCL and you will report to the Maintenance Head & Manager. 

Location: Bonne Terre, Vacoas.

You will ensure that:

• A high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times in the workshop.
• All equipment linked with the packing and making departments are in good running conditions at all times.
• The Preventive Maintenance program is effectively implemented and documented.
• All interventions on the equipment/machines/tools are planned and arranged with the department heads so as to reduce downtime.Critical spare parts for every critical machine are available at all times.
• There is an efficient and effective spare parts stock control.
• There is a tools/accessories log book detailing all the tools/accessories owned by PCCL workshop.
• There is sufficient stock of different lubricants at all times.
• All maintenance personnel are trained to do their respective jobs.
• All employees under your control observe hygiene requirements at the workplace.
• All interventions are appropriately documented in a timely manner.
• Any other job assigned to you by Management.

FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT

• You will also ensure that.
• All the facilities, equipment, work table, etc., are well maintained and kept in a tidy manner.
•  All tools, accessories and equipment manuals are neatly arranged.
•  No tool/accessory/spare part/equipment manual is left at the place of intervention after a job has been carried out.
• Equipment/accessories are timely washed and stored in their respective places.
• Advise Management on Maintenance and systems maintenance issues such as Water, compressed air, electrical, steam, cold room, pest control and related matters.
