Job Title: Senior Pharmacy Dispenser
Location: West Region
Working Hours:
- Monday Thursday: 08:00 - 13:30 (Morning Shift), 13:30 - 19:00 (Afternoon shift)
- Friday & Saturday: 08:00 - 14:30 (Morning shift), 14:30 - 20:00 (Afternoon shift)
- Sunday: 08:00 - 15:00
Responsibilities:
- Medication Dispensing: Oversee and manage medication dispensing operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with prescriptions, and adherence to patient safety protocols. Provide guidance and support to junior pharmacy staff in dispensing tasks.
- Clinical Consultation: Utilize advanced knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive clinical consultations to patients, including medication counseling, dosage adjustments, and management of complex medication regimens.
- Leadership and Training: Serve as a mentor and leader for junior pharmacy staff, providing training, guidance, and support to facilitate their professional development and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.
- Inventory Management: Lead inventory management activities, including procurement, stock monitoring, and optimization of inventory levels to ensure availability of medications while minimizing wastage and expiry.
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Implement and maintain quality assurance measures, including medication reconciliation, adherence programs, and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate closely with pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through medication therapy management, medication reconciliation, and participation in interdisciplinary care teams.
- Educational Background: Diploma or certificate in Pharmacy Dispensing or related field, supplemented by extensive experience working as a pharmacy dispenser or assistant.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in a senior role within a pharmacy setting, with a comprehensive understanding of medication dispensing, clinical counseling, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, foster a positive work environment, and promote collaboration and teamwork.
- Clinical Expertise: Advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in pharmacotherapy, medication management, and patient counseling, with a focus on optimizing therapeutic outcomes and minimizing medication-related risks.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in pharmacy software systems, inventory management tools, and other relevant technology platforms.
- Ethical Conduct: Commitment to upholding ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and professional integrity in all aspects of pharmacy practice.
