Position: Accounts Supervisor
Reports to: Finance Manager

Purpose:
To oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, management of foreign currency payments, and maintenance of accounting records. The Accounts Supervisor will support the Finance Manager in preparing financial statements, managing cash flows, and liaising with external auditors to ensure the financial health and compliance of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Invoice Processing: Ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and preparation of creditors reconciliations for approval.
  • Supplier Payments: Ensure payments to suppliers are made according to company procedures.
  • Foreign Currency Management: Manage foreign currency exposure and payments in a timely manner.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist in managing cash flow forecasts and implement best practices.
  • Cashbook Reconciliations: Prepare weekly cashbook reconciliations.
  • Fixed Assets Register: Maintain the Fixed Assets Register, including additions, disposals, sales, and report extraction for monthly accounting.
  • Accounting Records Maintenance: Maintain accounting records in both paper and electronic formats by making copies and filing documents.
  • Monthly Management Accounts: Assist in the preparation, review, and presentation of monthly management accounts.
  • Statutory Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly statutory reports.
  • Audit Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of audit financial statements.
  • Accounting/Audit Schedules: Assist in the preparation and review of accounting/audit schedules.
  • Liaison with External Auditors: Liaise with external auditors and tax specialists to ensure timely readiness of audited accounts/returns.
  • Budget Preparation: Assist in budget preparation.

Candidate Profile:

  • Partly qualified in ACCA
  • 5 years experience in an accounting environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles
  • Attention to detail
