About the job Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical internal customer service, including attending and responding to machine breakdowns as per Factory Managers requirements.
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties, diagnose faults, and plan, perform, or recommend remedial actions.
- Sustain maintenance and safety procedures or service schedules to ensure machines and equipment are in proper running condition.
- Ensure machines and equipment are reliable and perform consistently in the specified operating environment.
- Electrical and PLC Systems:
- Maintain the good health of the electrical systems in the building.
- Troubleshoot and supervise the resolution of PLC programs and related issues.
- Team Management:
- Supervise, manage, and effectively utilize the assigned maintenance team.
- Manage assigned budget and implement precise cost controls per equipment.
- Manage stocks of supplies and equipment.
- Keep maintenance logs and report daily activities.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
- Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review cost estimates.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Vehicle and Building Maintenance:
- Ensure all company vehicles are cleaned, fueled, safe, and roadworthy.
- Purchase and maintain vehicles for deliveries.
- Develop strategies for greater efficiency.
- Schedule regular vehicle maintenance and keep records.
- Maintain a safe environment with proper lighting and signage for all factory premises and facilities.
- Schedule regular building maintenance, contract professionals for repairs as needed, oversee contractors, and inspect completed jobs while monitoring building maintenance budgets.
- Ensure proper ventilation in the factory.
- Ensure all fire procedures are in place and in good working condition.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Design, maintain, and/or review the relevant working manual for factory operations.
- Resolve complaints, problems, and requests regarding building maintenance in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular risk assessments of the work premises and assist with the emergency response plan.
- Inspect the building frequently for signs of damage or wear and tear.
- Ensure all work carried out on company premises is done safely at all times.
Background
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering management role
