Job Overview:
We are looking for 5 to 7 mid-level Tableau Developers to join our team onsite in Chicago. The ideal candidates should be hands-on developers with a strong background in Tableau development and analytics. Candidates must have at least 5 years of hands-on development experience in Tableau, data visualization, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tableau Development: Design, develop, and implement interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to support business insights and decision-making.
- Data Visualization: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide compelling, user-friendly Tableau visualizations.
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to ensure proper integration of data into Tableau and ensure data integrity.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure optimized performance of Tableau workbooks, data sources, and dashboards to handle large datasets and complex queries.
- Maintenance and Support: Maintain and update existing Tableau dashboards, troubleshooting issues, and improving usability based on user feedback.
- Data Integration: Work on integrating Tableau with various data sources (SQL, flat files, cloud-based data storage systems, etc.).
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data engineers, and project managers to ensure project delivery according to timelines and business requirements.
- Documentation: Document processes, methodologies, and Tableau solutions to ensure consistency and transparency in development and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau development, creating dashboards, reports, and integrating with various data sources.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
- Strong SQL skills, with experience in querying and optimizing databases.
- Experience with connecting Tableau to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, cloud platforms).
- Familiarity with data blending, data aggregation, and Tableau calculations.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to work with complex datasets and transform them into actionable insights.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with stakeholders and business users to understand requirements and present technical solutions.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team and interact with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other BI tools or analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud-based Tableau solutions or other cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
