Are you a seasoned professional in the apparel industry with a passion for business development and product innovation? Join our client's dynamic team as a Senior Executive - Business Development and contribute to growth and success in the manufacturing sector.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Management or Marketing.
  • 3-4 years of work experience in the apparel industry, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in a similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of flat knitting processes.
  • Proficiency in product development and costing.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively.
  • Excellent report writing abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential products or market segments with viable flat knit products.
  • Perform consumer research to understand end-user expectations and preferences.
  • Utilize effective tools to gather information and customer reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with the Innovation Hub and other innovation teams to collect research materials.
  • Collate information from consumer research and interviews to determine final product properties, price points, lifecycle, and other key elements.
  • Develop phased project plans encompassing material and product development.
  • Validate raw materials, fabrics, and products to ensure performance aligns with consumer and business requirements.
  • Work with sample room planners to allocate capacity for concept development.
  • Coordinate with the PDC tech team to ensure the successful execution of concepts.
  • Lead development meetings with sample room representatives to obtain consumption details and standard minute values.
  • Follow up to secure approvals necessary for risk analysis.
  • Collaborate with designers to create marketing materials that support product sales to potential customers.
  • Present and promote concepts to potential customers through internal value chains, new business development efforts, or product turnaround initiatives upon confirming product performance.
  • Work closely with Value Chain leaders to gather information on new material requirements, focusing on seasonal trends and customer-driven innovations.
  • Negotiate pricing terms and oversee costing, cost re-engineering, lead times, and minimum production quantities.
  • Prepare costing sheets and coordinate with relevant parties to finalize costs, ensuring budgeted earnings are met.
  • Address any deviations from standards in consultation with the Manager.
