Engineer - Converged Charging

We are seeking an experienced Engineer - Converged Charging for a leading telecommunications service provider in Sri Lanka.

The Job:

• Lead end-to-end feasibility checks for new products and services, focusing on charging aspects.
• Manage the product launch lifecycle, ensuring all approvals, documentation, and security measures are in place before launch.
• Provide strategic feedback on Online Charging Systems (OCS) and related processes for various projects.
• Oversee OCS/Core rating and charging system projects, defining scope, architecture, resourcing, and ensuring timely delivery with minimal business impact.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of projects related to charging systems.
• Implement optimal blueprints by upgrading modules, ensuring redundancy, backups, and security fixes.
• Manage peripheral applications and ensure proper integration with monitoring tools.
• Develop new monitoring scripts aligned with service launches to minimize interruptions.
• Offer consultancy to other units, enhancing operational excellence through technical and management expertise.
• Adapt new technologies to optimize time and resource utilization, including RPA, AI, AWS Cloud, and containerization.
• Work within a Linux environment and participate in CI/CD pipeline configuration and management.
• Familiarity with container architecture (Docker, Kubernetes) and database technologies (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Ensure alignment with security updates and fixes.

The Person:

• BSc in Engineering from a recognized university.
• 3-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Expertise in 2G to 5G technologies and charging systems.
• Knowledge of IT trends, service blueprints, and network architecture.
• Skilled in tariff and rating implementations across multiple communication streams.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Proficient in scripting and basic programming (Shell, PHP, JAVA, etc.).
• Familiarity with development frameworks (Spring Boot, JBoss, etc.).
• Knowledge of databases (MySQL, EDB, etc.).
