Our client, a global leader in innovative apparel manufacturing, is looking to hire a Systems Engineer (SAP BASIS) to join their dynamic team in Battaramulla. Role Summary:
As a Systems Engineer (SAP BASIS), you will be responsible for the administration, performance, and security of SAP systems. Your role will ensure the SAP landscape is robust, reliable, and aligned with business objectives and IT policies. This includes managing technical architecture, performing upgrades, and providing support to both users and functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the performance and security of SAP systems.
• Administer technical architecture and ensure system availability.
• Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and apply support packs, patches, and updates.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Support cloud services (Azure, AWS) and virtualization/containerization technologies.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong experience with databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or SAP HANA.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and optimizing SAP systems.
• Experience with SAP system upgrades and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and virtualization/containerization.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth understanding of SAP architecture, components, and processes.
• Strong knowledge of server infrastructure, networking protocols, and application installations.
• Proficient in server administration (Windows/Linux).
• Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to relay technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
