We are looking for an experienced Head of Product - Super App for a leading telecommunications service provider in Sri Lanka.

The Job:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the product, aligned with the overall business plan of the company and the strategic direction of the management.
  • Create marketing and pricing strategies for the product, ensuring optimal pricing structures across all offerings.
  • Set short-term and long-term business goals, defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measuring mechanisms to monitor performance and drive the P&L end-to-end.
  • Evaluate market conditions, customer preferences, and potential growth areas to forecast revenue and budgetary requirements.
  • Develop marketing solutions to optimize digital shelf presence and search engine visibility.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate sales performance and market environment to ensure scalable growth, identifying deficiencies and suggesting remedial actions to senior management.
  • Guide and oversee the development and design of product content and campaigns, ensuring high conversion rates across all applications.
  • Review, analyze, and forecast resource requirements to achieve business objectives cost-effectively.
  • Manage business operations efficiently to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Identify market segments within the prepaid domain and mobile data market, understanding their aspirations, behaviors, and dynamics to deliver maximum value.
  • Manage interactions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely market delivery of products and services.
  • Design methods to attract genuine customers, achieving targets for gross/net additions and securing market leadership.
  • Monitor and take corrective actions on deviations that may negatively impact business targets.
  • Periodically update senior management on product performance, competitor analysis, and suggest necessary improvements.

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop a high-performing, agile, cross-functional, business-aligned team to achieve assigned targets.
  • Identify skill gaps and competency requirements, providing development initiatives, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Provide regular performance feedback to team members and assist in overcoming challenges.
  • Develop a long-range roadmap for the Super App, enhancing the digital asset base in the digital space.
  • Ensure product alignment with the long-range convergence plan and create a lifestyle-driven engagement model.
  • Develop seamless platform operations to simplify user experience while monetizing the platform.
  • Initiate performance improvements to the App periodically, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Establish a structured process for data privacy, governance requirements, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to plan and initiate campaigns that drive business plans.
  • Integrate third-party assets in Sri Lanka to position the App as a lifestyle application.
  • Develop data analytics methodologies to drive business decisions.
  • Continuously evaluate and leverage technology and digital tools to enhance customer experience.
  • Create a comprehensive framework for digital social media channels to engage customers.
  • Monitor customer interactions on social media and collaborate with adoption teams for improvements.
  • Establish a structured process to monitor customer preferences and satisfaction levels, addressing negative feedback effectively.

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus an MBA.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Expertise in business planning, customer insights, product planning, and technology/SaaS product evaluation.
  • Knowledge in product management, digital channel development, and digital asset management.
