Job Description

We are seeking a Video Editor & Graphic Designer to support paid social creative production across a growing direct-to-consumer business.

This role is primarily focused on identifying top-performing advertising creatives and producing new iterations, variations, and tests based on proven winners. The position combines both video editing and graphic design responsibilities, allowing one person to support creative production across multiple formats.

Approximately 80% of the role will focus on iterating and improving existing winning creatives, while 20% will focus on developing new concepts and creative ideas for future testing. The ideal candidate understands direct response advertising, performance-focused creative production, and how to create assets that support ongoing acquisition efforts.

This is not a pure execution role. While production is the primary responsibility, we are looking for someone who can occasionally contribute new creative ideas, identify opportunities for testing, and proactively suggest ways to improve performance.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Iteration & Performance Optimization

  • Review top-performing creatives and identify opportunities for new variations

  • Produce video and static creative iterations based on existing winners

  • Create alternative hooks, messaging, CTAs, visuals, and formats for testing

  • Repurpose existing creative assets into new executions

  • Support ongoing creative testing initiatives


Video Editing

  • Edit short-form paid social advertisements for Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and other channels

  • Execute creative briefs and testing requests

  • Optimize pacing, retention, storytelling, and conversion-focused elements

  • Maintain organized video project files and asset libraries


Graphic Design

  • Design static advertising creatives for paid social campaigns

  • Create image-based ad variations and promotional assets

  • Adapt existing concepts into new visual formats

  • Maintain consistency across campaigns and creative systems


New Concept Development

  • Analyze existing creative performance and identify opportunities for new concepts

  • Contribute fresh creative ideas based on trends, competitor research, and campaign learnings

  • Support the development of new testing angles, messaging, and visual approaches

  • Leverage AI tools where appropriate to accelerate concept generation, creative ideation, and production workflows


Collaboration & Workflow Management

  • Work closely with the founder and marketing team

  • Manage multiple projects and creative requests simultaneously

  • Implement feedback efficiently and accurately

  • Deliver creative assets according to agreed timelines


Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in both video editing and graphic design

  • Experience creating paid social advertising creatives

  • Experience working with ecommerce, DTC, or performance marketing brands

  • Strong understanding of direct response advertising principles

  • Strong understanding of hooks, retention, pacing, and conversion-focused creative

  • Experience creating both video and static advertising assets

  • Experience supporting creative testing and iteration workflows

  • Experience working in high-volume creative production environments

  • Familiarity with Meta advertising creative best practices

  • Ability to analyze existing creatives and create meaningful variations

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills


Preferred

  • Experience generating new creative concepts and testing ideas

  • Experience collaborating with media buyers or performance marketing teams

  • Experience leveraging AI tools for creative ideation, asset generation, or production workflows

  • Familiarity with competitor research and creative trend analysis
