Job Description:
We are seeking an Email Marketer to support a growing faith-based media and storytelling brand through high-performing email campaigns, subscriber engagement, and retention-focused communication.
This role is designed to take ownership of email campaign execution, audience segmentation, automation workflows, and performance optimization so the founder and creative team can stay focused on content, storytelling, and community growth.
The ideal candidate should combine strong email copywriting skills, audience understanding, and analytical thinking to create campaigns that drive engagement, nurture subscribers, and increase participation across content releases, launches, and community initiatives.
This is not just a campaign scheduling role. The ideal hire should understand how to craft emotionally resonant messaging, structure retention-focused email flows, and improve performance through testing, segmentation, and data-driven iteration.
Experience with mission-driven brands, storytelling-focused content, or faith-based messaging is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Campaign Strategy & Execution
Plan, build, and execute email campaigns tied to product launches, video releases, and community engagement initiatives
Create campaign calendars aligned with content and marketing priorities
Manage campaign scheduling, QA, and deployment across email platforms
Ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on time
Copywriting & Audience Engagement
Write emotionally engaging, conversion-focused email copy
Adapt messaging tone to align with the brand’s storytelling and mission-centered communication style
Develop subject lines, CTAs, and messaging angles designed to improve engagement and conversion
Support audience nurturing through thoughtful and relevant communication
Audience Segmentation & Automation
Build and manage audience segmentation strategies to improve targeting and engagement
Develop automated workflows for onboarding, lead nurturing, retention, and re-engagement
Support subscriber lifecycle management through behavior-based email flows
Continuously optimize segmentation and automation performance
Analytics & Performance Optimization
Monitor email performance metrics including open rates, CTRs, conversions, and subscriber engagement
Conduct A/B testing across subject lines, messaging, and campaign structures
Analyze campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities
Provide actionable recommendations to improve retention and engagement
Subscriber Growth & Deliverability
Support subscriber list growth and audience engagement initiatives
Maintain email deliverability best practices and compliance standards
Monitor list hygiene, unsubscribe trends, and engagement quality
Help maintain healthy sender reputation and campaign performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to align messaging, visuals, and campaign timing
Coordinate with content and production teams around launches and release schedules
Ensure consistency across email communication and broader brand storytelling
Qualifications:
Required
3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience
Strong experience building and executing email campaigns from strategy through deployment
Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write emotionally engaging and conversion-focused messaging
Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar tools
Experience building segmentation strategies and automation workflows
Experience supporting content-driven, storytelling-focused, or creator-led brands
Experience with retention marketing and subscriber lifecycle management
Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting email campaign performance metrics
Experience conducting A/B testing and performance optimization
Experience collaborating closely with creative teams and content calendars
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Strong communication skills and comfort working in a remote environment
Preferred
Experience in media, publishing, or performance marketing environments
Familiarity with faith-based, mission-driven, or community-centered brands
