About the job Landscape Executive
Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Estate, the Landscape Executive is responsible for planning, supervising and leading the landscape team and any contractors engaged in landscape preservation, restoration, maintenance and management. The incumbent is responsible to oversee the year-round daily operations of the landscape department and will provide guidance on maintenance of the landscape and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- People Management (full time, part time, seasonal workers and contractors) to ensure productivity, timely completion of all tasks assigned;
- Provide assistance on site to ensure and maintain the level of service;
- Conduct daily inspection to ensure overall presentation are as per standard/expectation.
- Follow up on maintenance of tools and equipments
- Prioritize tasks and coordinate work assignments to the team;
- Be responsible for the health and appearance of all landscaped areas on the property;
- Identify any potential hazards and taking appropriate action;
- Identify staff training needs and assist with development of training programs including plant care and maintenance, proper use of tools and equipment among others;
- Supervise contracted services;
- Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality;
- Train, motivate, develop and manage site personnel for performance improvement;
- Review budget objectives on a monthly interval and report on any variation;
- Manage job scheduling to ensure on on-time completion of jobs and deadlines;
- Proactively pursue the development of standard practices and update site procedures accordingly;
- Assess plant and supplies quality through visits to suppliers;
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture/Landscape architecture or related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years' relevant experience in horticulture/landscape architecture on construction and maintenance sites.
