Monocle is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as an Analyst in the Project Management Office.
We are looking for an individual to join Monocle to run operations for the Project Management Office as a PMO Analyst.
This roles provides the perfect opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing consulting firms in SA and direct exposure to senior stakeholders in the industry. The experience that you will obtain is best in class in terms of PMO. The successful candidate will also have access to a large library of training as Monocle prides themselves in significant upliftment of their people.
The Project Management office is a core function of the Monocle business that is tasked with ensuring client facing projects occur on time and are effectively managed. You will be responsible for assisting in building and improving the PMO service offering to the broader business, providing analytical support and other related technical tasks.
The role deals with sensitive information and requires a professional who is comfortable in working in high pressure environments, with senior stakeholders in consulting and the finance industry, while understanding and navigating multiple complex systems and processes. The individual must be highly motivated and adaptable.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Preferably an Engineering or Computer Science degree or similar qualification.
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
- Experience in Microsoft products including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and advanced excel is essential.
- Experience in process engineering, optimisation, automation and mapping is essential.
- Advanced excel skills is desirable in particular VBA.
- Ability to critically evaluate process and recommend improvements.
- Understanding of how effective user experiences and user interfaces for systems are designed, implemented and improved.
- Understanding of relational databases, data management and data governance
- Previous exposure to CRM systems like Dynamics 365 or Salesforce is desirable.
- Professional project management or project administration certification is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Experience consulting operations is preferable.
- Attention to detail.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently.
- Be highly motivated, organised and have the ability to work in a dynamic environment, adaptable and resilient.
As a PMO Analyst at Monocle your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Executing improvements or new functionality that needs to be implemented in the business either relating to processes or systems.
- Defining or optimising new and current PMO related processes.
- Building or improving current or new systems or reports.
- Improving data quality processes and further defining standards.
- Providing detailed, succinct feedback on challenges faced during the execution of PMO processes, propose solutions and implementing them.
- Completing/updating project/system/process related documentation for new builds or improvements.
- Providing regular feedback to the PMO regarding progress of tasks.
- Respectfully engaging with various internal stakeholders to drive results.
