Monocle is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a consultant. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain finance reporting processes, focusing on key metrics for investments, life and general insurance products.
- Collaborate with finance and business teams to gather and document reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 17 and other relevant accounting standards.
- Assist in the finance transformation initiatives, modernising finance data, and reporting processes.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and insights.
- Provide input to the requirements specification and design new finance reporting systems.
The successful candidate must:
- Hold a degree, with strong preference for a post graduate qualification.
- Have 5 years or more relevant experience in the Insurance industry.
Qualification Requirements:
- Hold a degree, with strong preference for a post graduate qualification.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance reporting within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of life and general insurance products.
- Proven experience with IFRS 17 and other relevant accounting standards.
- Experience in business systems implementation initiatives.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in finance reporting tools and software.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with finance reporting systems and their implementation.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling.
Additionally, the following would be advantageous:
- Professional accounting qualification.
- Experience with finance transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in the insurance sector.
- Qualification or experience in project management or a PMP / Prince 2 qualification.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
