About the job Sales Engineer

Essential Functions:

· Maintain long-term relationships with customers, suppliers and vendors, while identifying new business opportunities within our existing customer base and the metal fabrication industry.

· Cultivate and develop new customer prospects.

· Solicit and respond to customer and non-customer requests for quotes (RFQ's).

· Read, review and comprehend all customer terms and conditions prior to accepting a customer purchase order, and ensure that these terms and conditions are acceptable to G.E. Mathis Company management.

· Learn and understand technical capabilities and limitations of equipment machinery and materials and personnel.

· Present professional quotations, acknowledge and prepare detailed estimate and process order entry based on project specifications and individual customer needs.

· Serve as a liaison between customers and internal production teams.

· Oversee project timeliness from start to finish to ensure final shipped products meet customer expectations.

· Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and competitive offerings

· Participate in marketing efforts by exhibiting at and attending industry trade shows as directed. Travel is limited but required.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills:

· Previous Shop Floor and Metal Fabrication experience will be helpful but are not required.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Software, (i.e. SolidWorks. AutoCAD) is an advantage.

· The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is an advantage.

· Proficiency in measuring, usage of basic math skills, and the knowledge of geometry is also helpful.
