(1) CNC Lathe Setup/Operators
Shift: 2nd (will train on 1st shift)
Rate: $20 to $25 per hour, dependent on experience - need their own tools
Hours: 3:30 pm to 12:00 am - OT as needed after limited training
Experience: 2 plus years of programming and setup experience needed on Mazak and Mori Seiki-
Tools Needed by all:
1. Micrometer from 0 to 6 preferred Starrett or Mitutoyo
2. Depth Micrometer 1 to 3 Starrett of Mitutoyo
3. Dial Indicator with a magnetic base
4. Full set of mechanic tools
5. Toolbox
6. Steel or Composite toe shoes
Responsibilities:
Check work orders, prints and/or drawings
Determine the best method to complete work including feeds, speeds, cutters, etc. according to industry standard
Program, edit and rewrite CNC programs at machines
Select, check, sharpen, and/or replace tools as required
Manufacture or select appropriate work holdings and fixtures
Perform mechanical tasks including loading and unloading vice, fixtures
Establish and set appropriate toll offsets
Manufacture parts from raw materials to completion per blueprints, work orders and customer specifications
Measure the first piece and in-process parts to conform to the blueprint, work orders, customer requirements, and tolerances
Trim or de-burr parts or otherwise finish parts to customer specifications
Identify, use and interpret appropriate calibrated metrology device for piece-part inspection
Continuously review work orders with the supervisor to organize and optimize daily work
Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements
Knowledge of G code, maintenance tolerance of + - point 001
Requirements:
2+ years previous experience setting up and operating CNC machines in shop environment
Must be 18 or older
Ability to read G-code (preferred)
Experience with CNC, hand tools, measuring instruments, surface. Lathe, programming is a plus
Experience with Mazak and Mori Seiki, some with conversational programming
Tool design, machine repair helpful
High School graduate or equivalent; reading, basic math
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work well with a variety of people
Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and safety shoes
Must have their own tools
Physical Demand:
Ability to walk, stand, and use hands 100% of the workday
Ability to bend, stoop or twist 50% of the workday
Ability to push, pull and lift or carry 75 pounds
Ability to work in shop environment contentious exposure to potentially hazardous metal working machinery and equipment, loud noises, dust, mist, oils, and solvents
