2nd Shift CNC Machinist

2nd Shift 3:15-11:45pm. 

CNC that can program and set up. But what would really help is this experienced person on an off shift as we have all the machines running, so the only way to increase machine shop capacity is to add another shift. So it would have to be an experienced CNC machinist who can jump in with minimal oversight

Job Description:

• Set up and operate 5-axis or large Vertical and Horizontal CNC Machining Centers based on blueprints, gd&t and written work instructions.
• Program G-Code.
• Produce high quality, tight tolerance parts, inspect product to drawing specs, recognize machining issues and make mechanical or offsetting adjustments.
• Ability and willingness to run multiple machines at the same time when appropriate.
• Inspect, deburr and clean at the machine during cuts.
• Ability to troubleshoot and creatively resolve unique machining challenges.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures; maintain clean and safe work areas.

• High school degree or equivalent. Technology degree, technical training or equivalent job experience required.
• Minimum 3 years experience programming G-Code.

• Manual machining background on all basic shop equipment, a strong lathe background is a plus.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing).
• Strong ability to use and read micrometers, calipers, gauges, other mechanical measuring tools.
• Strong work ethic and sense of purpose with ability to work independently with little supervision.

• Must be able to bend and twist, walk or stand continuously through an 8 hour shift and lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to fluently communicate, read and write in the English language.
