1st shift Tool and Die Maker/Repair
Position
As a Tool and Die Maker/Repair, you will be responsible for the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of various types of tools and dies used in the production process. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all tools and dies are in proper working condition to meet production demands. This is a full-time position on the 1st shift, with the potential for overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, maintain, and repair tools and dies used in the production process.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
- Operate various machining and toolmaking equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with tools and dies to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to understand and meet production demands.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker/Repair in a manufacturing setting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of machining and toolmaking equipment and techniques
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
