CNC Machinist - 2nd shift

We are seeking skilled and experienced 2nd Shift Machinists for a leading manufacturer. The ideal candidates for this position will have a strong background in CNC machining and be able to work independently to set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Citizens (Swiss) machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Citizens (Swiss) machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications
• Plan and construct fixtures and tools for use in the machining process
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery as needed
• Interpret and work from existing programs, equipment manuals, prints, work orders, and instructions
• Monitor and maintain machine performance to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and increase productivity
• Meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes
• 4+ years of experience setting up and running CNC Mills
• Feature Cam or Fusion 360 programming knowledge and experience is a plus
• Knowledge of basic machine skills (such as lathes, grinders, EDM sinkers, mills)
• CAD/CAM knowledge is helpful but not required
• Able to read micrometers, gauges, and comparators
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Experience with Fanuc and Haas controls is a plus
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
