Field Calibration Technician - Electronics

Job Overview:

As a Field Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of electronic equipment used in various industries. You will travel locally in the Chicagoland area, and work directly with our clients to calibrate and maintain their equipment, ensuring that it meets industry standards and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience in electronic equipment calibration
• Strong understanding of electronic principles and measurement techniques
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to equipment calibration
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours as needed

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site calibration of electronic equipment, including but not limited to: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs
• Maintain detailed records of all calibration activities and results
• Communicate with clients to schedule appointments and provide updates on calibration services
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations related to equipment calibration
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
