Looking with someone with previous sandblasting experience. Doesnt need to be a whole lot but someone who understands what theyre getting into.

Needs to be ok with working overtime when required. 10 hour days and Saturdays.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and finishing by removing rust, paint, and other contaminants using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in various construction environments. A strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for finishing.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the specific requirements for each project.
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Perform frame carpentry and trim carpentry as needed during projects.
• Execute concrete finishing tasks when required, ensuring high-quality results.
• Apply caulking and perform construction painting as part of the finishing process.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sandblasting or related fields such as residential painting or remodeling.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and understanding of construction site operations.
• Familiarity with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, and construction painting techniques is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Would need to work overtime as needed especially on Saturdays

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
