About the job Quality Inspector
The Role
We're looking for a detail-driven Quality Inspector / Technician to ensure our parts are made to print throughout production. This is a hands-on, shop-floor role focused primarily on in-process inspection, working closely with machine operators and setup techs to catch issues early and keep jobs running right.
This position requires a hands-on team player who is willing to assist with sorting activities, reinspection efforts, and other operational tasks as needed. While quality inspection is the primary responsibility, employees are expected to support other areas of the business when necessary to meet production and customer requirements.
What You'll Do
- Perform in-process inspections against customer prints and specifications throughout production runs.
- Support first-article and final inspections as needed.
- Operate precision measurement equipment, including the MicroVu vision/touch-probe hybrid measurement system, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Partner with operators and setup techs to verify parts at setup and throughout runs, supporting a right-first-time approach.
- Identify nonconformances and support corrective-action efforts.
- Assist with sorting and reinspection activities as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in quality inspection within a machining, CNC, or manufacturing environment (Swiss/CNC turning a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Hands-on proficiency with precision measurement tools; CMM or optical measurement experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits.
- A collaborative, solution-oriented approach — someone who works with production.
