The purpose of the AFC Modeling team is to ensure that there is an appropriate AML coverage by leading AML coverage assessment; development of new models and improving existing models to mitigate existing or future AML risks; and model review and validation in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering / Sanctions model governance framework within the bank.
Responsibilities:
§ Conduct risk based tuning of AML scenarios and maintain standards for BTL (Below the Line) ATL (Above the Line) alert testing
§ Support ongoing optimization to the effectiveness of all in scope BAU transaction monitoring systems, scenarios and rules
Requirements:
§ Significant experience and direct knowledge of AML Transaction Monitoring systems and preferably Oracle Mantas, Prime BSA and Actimize is a big plus.
§ Strong knowledge of SQL and Hadoop
§ Hands on experience in programming language like R or Python
§ Strong analytical and statistical skills
§ Developing and proposing recommendations to address identified issues/risks as well as areas and processes required optimization and improvement
§ Understanding trends in underlying data and advise on modeling methodologies to detect potential suspicious activity
§ Produce reports with documented rationales for scenarios, rules and threshold settings.
§ Experience in visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.
§ Experience in GCP is a plus
