Legal and Compliance Manager

Working directly with Modular's General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, the jobholder will play an active part in the legal and compliance program at the Firm. The jobholder will be familiar with all forms of legal documentation relevant to a fund trading actively in the Asian FX, Rates and Derivatives markets and competent to review and negotiate such documents with counterparties. In addition, the jobholder have in depth knowledge and experience of the compliance frameworks relevant to MAS registered Fund Management companies and other compliance regimes relevant to the Firm's business. They will play an active part in monitoring compliance across the Firm. 

Useful skills will include knowledge of:

• Experience in Asset Management industry legal and compliance is a pre-requisite requirement.
• ISDA documentation and other trading agreements 
• Custody Agreements
• Prime Brokerage Agreements
• Fund Administration
• Fund Documentation and structuring (Cayman and Singapore)
• Qualified Lawyer preferred (paralegal experience may be considered)
• MAS rules and regulations impacting licensed fund managers in Singapore and other regional markets.
• Mandarin and English language skills
• Hedge Fund experience a significant benefit.
