Investment Team Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven, intellectually curious and critical Investment Research Intern - Soft Commodities to join our investment team. Working closely with our analysts and portfolio managers, you will gain exposure and assist in the investment decision process. This role is ideal for an aspiring buy-side analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a passion for public markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct top-down and bottom-up research on industries, companies, and secular market trends to help source long/short investment ideas.
• Build key financial models to evaluate share price drivers, forecast earnings vs consensus and run scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Follow and update any key news and events that will affect assumptions and forecasts.

Ideal Skillset:

• Previous research/investment experience in soft agricultural sector (commodity futures or equities) is highly preferred
• Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, or Refinitiv) is a strong plus
• Proficiency in coding and development of AI agents also a strong plus
• Strong grasp of corporate finance, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies
• Exceptional attention to detail, critical and objective communication skills, and the ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable insights.
• Intellectual humility, a high degree of accountability, and a "grunt-work" positive attitude necessary to thrive in a lean buy-side environment.
