Exeuction Trader

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Execution Trader to join our trading desk at Modular Asset Management in Singapore. You will execute across global markets on behalf of our portfolio managers, provide timely market colour, and take ownership of execution quality through the full trade lifecycle. This is a hands-on markets role suited to someone with 3 to 5 years of sales, trading or execution experience who wants to work closer to the investment process at a macro hedge fund.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute trades across asset classes (FX, rates, commodities and equities) accurately and efficiently on behalf of portfolio managers, with a focus on best execution.
• Monitor global markets, liquidity and flows, and provide timely market colour and updates to portfolio managers and senior traders.
• Book and confirm trades in our internal risk management system, ensuring positions and risk are captured accurately.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations team to manage the full trade lifecycle.
• Help manage counterparty and broker relationships, including coverage, execution quality reviews and related MIS.
• Work with IT and Operations teams to continuously enhance execution workflows, automation and post-trade analytics.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in sales or trading at a bank, or in an execution or trading role on the buyside.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments and market mechanics. Experience across equities as well as macro products (FX, rates) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg and electronic execution platforms (EMSX, FXGO, TSOX or similar EMS/OMS tools).
• Working knowledge of Excel; VBA, Python or SQL skills are a plus.
• Meticulous attention to detail and composure under pressure, with the ability to work accurately at speed in fast markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
