Location- Regional NSW

Role Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high quality clinical care for Residents within established policies, guidelines and procedures of our client. Specifically, in the following:

  • To provide high quality clinical care to Residents within established policies, guidelines and procedures of our client.
  • To provide clinical leadership and first line supervision to Enrolled Nurses, Team Leaders and Care Service Employees including allocation of duties
  • Work collaboratively with Enrolled Nurses and care service employees to provide quality clinical and care services in accordance with organization policies and procedures, ANMC Code of Ethics, Code of Professional Conduct and common law affecting nursing practice.
  • Support and promote a culture that promotes wellbeing, safety and individual and team accountability through effective hazard identification and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct resident care and nursing services congruent with recognised nursing practice and procedure
  • Undertaking delegated nursing activities which assist in meeting the needs of residents
  • Providing direct resident care and nursing services congruent with recognised nursing practice and procedure
  • Organising delegated workload in conjunction with the Facility Manager
  • Participate in the ongoing monitoring and review of WH & S practices

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience in an aged care setting
  • Understanding of Aged Care and associated Legislation
  • Understanding of AN-ACC Care Minute requirements
  • Experience in delegating supervising and leading staff

Qualifications

  • Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Tertiary education in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support accreditation
