About the job UI Designer

MKTalent is recruiting for a client based in Lisbon, an UI Designer.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design of visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications;
  • Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to understand project requirements and translate them into compelling visual designs;
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions;
  • Develop design systems, style guides, and UI patterns to ensure consistency and maintain a cohesive user experience across different platforms;
  • Use industry-standard design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) to create pixel-perfect UI designs and assets;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and developers, to deliver high-quality design solutions on time and within scope.

What we look for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful UI design projects;
  • Expertise in UI design principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy;
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Axure);
  • Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles, as well as familiarity with design systems and component-based design;
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work;
  • Experience with motion design and prototyping tools (Adobe After Effects, Principle, Framer) and front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript and CSS) are a plus.
