The Mission
Our client is a fast growing startup backed by premier venture capital firms including Insight Partners. They are redefining how defense organizations and critical infrastructure operators secure strategic assets by transforming existing optical fiber into extensive, real-time sensor networks. By combining advanced sensing technology with proprietary AI, they detect and localize threats across borders, military facilities, and sensitive sites with unprecedented precision.
The "Builder" Requirement
This is a high-impact, foundational role for a leader who can bridge the gap between complex engineering and federal mission needs. You will be responsible for:
GTM Strategy: Defining and executing the U.S. go-to-market strategy for the government and defense sectors.
Pipeline Development: Building a robust sales pipeline across federal agencies (U.S. Army, CBP, DoD, DHS) and state/local entities.
Ecosystem Expansion: Establishing strategic partnerships with prime contractors and system integrators to embed our technology into large scale Programs of Record.
Scaling Operations: Building and leading the U.S. dedicated sales and operations team over time as the regional footprint grows
Professional Profile & Requirements
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or Computer Science (BSCS) is required to navigate the technical rigors of fiber sensing and signal processing.
An MBA is highly preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of senior sales experience specifically within the Defense, Homeland Security, or Perimeter Protection markets.
Leadership: 3+ years of experience managing and developing high performing sales and operations teams.
- Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of sensing technologies, physical security, or infrastructure monitoring. You must be able to move beyond "software talk" to discuss the physical layer of fiber optic networks.
Network: Established, high level relationships within the DoD and major defense contractors.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to lead the U.S. expansion for a company that has moved beyond traditional electronic sensors. By leveraging existing infrastructure, you will provide a solution that is faster to deploy and more sensitive than anything currently on the market. You will report directly to the CEO and have the autonomy to build the U.S. office into a cornerstone of the global business.
