About the job VP of Sales - US/EMA
VP of Sales – US/EMEA
The Mission
Our client is a global leader in low-power, high-performance wireless connectivity SoCs, powering the next generation of IoT, consumer electronics, and industrial applications. We are seeking a sophisticated leader to architect and execute our expansion across the Americas and EMEA.
This role is designed for a professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering and enterprise strategy. Rather than managing from a dashboard, you will have the autonomy to build something great by scaling our current footprint into a dominant market force.
You will provide strategic leadership for our regional Sales and Field Application Engineering (FAE) teams while maintaining a focused, "carry-the-bag" portfolio of high-impact, personal OEM accounts. This is a rare opportunity to showcase both your technical BSEE foundation and your MBA-level business acumen by directly influencing the growth trajectory of a global semiconductor innovator.
What You Will Do
- Orchestrate Regional Growth: Lead direct and indirect sales channels across the Americas and EMEA, ensuring a unified approach to technical design wins and market share expansion.
- Direct Strategic Accounts: Personally manage a select, high-priority list of global Tier 1 OEMs and ODMs, utilizing your technical credibility to navigate complex design cycles.
- Bridge Engineering & Strategy: Act as the primary conduit between the market and executive leadership, translating technical field requirements into global product strategy and IP acquisition
- Cultivate a High-Performance Culture: Mentor and grow a team of experts and FAEs, fostering an environment where technical excellence meets aggressive commercial results.
- Executive Representation: Serve as a key face of the organization for senior leadership at our most critical global partners and ecosystem stakeholders.
Who You Are
- Technical Strategist: You possess the BSEE background to engage deeply with engineering teams, ideally with past experience in ASIC design or electronics engineering. Wireless products involved in BLE, Zigbee, WiFi, etc. a big plus.
- Industry Authority: You bring 15+ years of experience and an established network within the consumer electronics, IoT, automotive, and networking ecosystems.
- Relational Leader: You are a "player-coach" who enjoys the intellectual challenge of territory development as much as the reward of building a regional organization.
- High Energy: You are comfortable in a fast-moving environment, willing to travel heavily, and ready to roll up your sleeves to win.
- Strategic Thinker: You value market proximity and results over rigid organizational structure.
Education & Qualifications
- Technical Foundation: A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or similar education is required to effectively engage with customer engineering teams, technical sales and FEAs to drive technical design wins.
- Business Acumen: An MBA is highly preferred to manage regional business operations and contribute to long-term global strategy.
Compensation & Logistics
- Package: Competitive fixed pay plus a performance bonus.
- Equity: This role includes Stock Appreciation Rights (SARs) linked to company performance, offering significant upside for driving valuation growth.
- Location: Preferably Silicon Valley or US West Coast, though flexibility is available for the right candidate.
- Interview Process: Initial rounds are conducted online with the CEO and COO, followed by a final face-to-face evaluation for selected candidates.
