Director, Marketing & Digital Communications

Basic Purpose

To support Member Loyalty Group in providing superior member engagement programs and a world‐

class client experience to the credit union industry. The Marketing Director has the responsibility for

the organizations marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated

marketing strategy for the business

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and manage MLG Brand, brand assets and messaging
  • Develop and manage strategic marketing plan & calendar
  • Plan, budget, direct and implement marketing efforts
  • Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy ‐ including campaigns, events, digital
  • marketing, and PR.
  • Oversee social media strategy and content marketing
  • Manage ongoing customer & marketing communications
  • Hire, coordinate with and manage design partners
  • Craft regular internal status reports of all marketing & communication activities
  • Client engagement
  • Develop client communications including message development and placement, client
  • news pieces, best practice sharing, thought‐leadership information etc.
  • Coordinate with Program Manger to develop a comprehensive participant engagement
  • strategy and tactical plan
  • Business Development & Industry Engagement
  • Actively work with the CEO and Senior Staff to develop and implement a comprehensive
  • industry engagement plan focused primarily on MLGs target group
  • Coordinate industry communications including message development and placement,
  • MLG blog, MLG website, thought‐leadership articles etc.
  • Create personas and lead nurturing communications to leverage Hubspot and to
  • enhance ongoing communications with potential credit union participants who come
  • inbound from the website.
  • Create and manage PR to ensure that MLG is recognized in the CU industry.
  • Community Management
  • Set and accomplishes organizational goals regarding community participation and success
  • measures.
  • Development of community content.
  • Cultivate best practices for all credit unions using Voice of the Member programs.
  • Event Management
  • Oversee planning and execution of logistics for conferences, meetings, and other events,

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • Proven working experience in marketing and digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience leading marketing and advertising programs
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
  • Strong analytical skills and data‐driven thinking
  • Up‐to‐date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
