The Director of Sales & Community Outreach is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, growing revenue, and expanding the organization's outreach programs. This position plays a key role in increasing market share, building community relationships, and representing the brand at a regional or national level. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strong sales experience and a deep understanding of community engagement, ensuring that business growth is aligned with social impact goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to expand sales reach.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to drive performance and hit individual and team KPIs.
  • Monitor sales metrics, analyze performance data, and adjust strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage key accounts and establish long-term relationships with partners and clients.
  • Community Outreach:
  • Design and lead community outreach programs to strengthen the company's presence and reputation within local and regional communities.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, non-profits, and local businesses.
  • Collaborate with marketing and public relations teams to organize and promote community events, sponsorships, and initiatives.
  • Serve as the face of the company at community events, trade shows, and public speaking engagements.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that align community outreach with business growth objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with outreach campaigns.
  • Collaborate with product and service teams to ensure offerings meet the needs of the community and sales channels.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure that outreach efforts align with the company's mission and vision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in community outreach or related social impact programs.
  • Strong understanding of sales cycles, business development, and account management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing needs.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in non-profit collaboration or social responsibility programs.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to create and manage budgets related to sales and outreach programs.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular travel to attend community events, client meetings, and conferences.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary for community events.
