Overview:
Responsible for overseeing all the logistics operations out of the manufacturing plants of Mitr Phol group in Indonesia including operation of logistics facilities of Mitr Phol group and also managing of a third-party logistics provider. They play a pivotal role in managing the movement of goods and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. These professionals possess a deep understanding of logistics processes, industry best practices, and the ability to navigate the complexities of supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all the outplants logistics operation of Mitr Phol Indonesia which including truck transportation, warehousing, marine terminal, container terminal, container yard, export management, Customs formalities, barges.
- Lead and develop logistics team
- Ensure all the operations meet corporates KPI and expectation which include cost, order fulfillment, quality management, safety, sustainability, regulatory compliance, etc.
- Work with Business Team, Manufacturing team and other related internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of their business plan, and expectations.
- Develops and execute supply chain short term (0-1 year) and long term (1-3 years) strategies to ensure logistics operation can meet the business objectives.
- Continue to explore logistics market to sourcing and develop the competitive 3PLs which align with strategy, optimize the supply chain. By optimizing the supply chain, a 3PL manager can reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarking against industry standards, and implementing initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead in 3PL contract negotiation and management. This includes negotiating service level agreements (SLAs), pricing structures, and terms and conditions.
- Be the focal point to work with related government to ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is often required. Advanced degrees such as an MBA can provide a competitive edge.
- Over 7 years of experience in 3PL, supply chain planning, or logistics for import and export, preferably in food or a related field.
- Knowledge in logistics operations, logistics technology knowledge, sourcing, and contract management,
- Knowledge in Indonesia logistics market knowledge will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and with external partners.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and solve problems.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Good command of English.
- Prefer Thai national able to relocate to work in Indonesia.
