Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Presales Consultant with strong cybersecurity domain knowledge and at least 05+ years of industry experience to join our Managed Security Services team.

The ideal candidate will excel at understanding customer requirements, shaping cybersecurity solutions, creating compelling proposals, and supporting sales cycles for MIT ESPs Managed Security Services. This is a customer-facing consulting role requiring strong communication, presentation, solution design and stakeholder-management skills.

Job Description

  • Presales Consulting & Customer Engagement
    - Lead customer discovery sessions to identify business challenges, security gaps, compliance needs, and SOC maturity levels
    - Translate customer requirements into tailored cybersecurity solutions, architectures, and service models
    - Present SOC capabilities, service models, SLAs, maturity improvements, and solution value propositions to CXO and technical audiences
    - Support account teams in shaping opportunities and differentiating our solutions in competitive situations
  • Solution Design & Architecture
    - Design appropriate SOC/SIEM solutions including log ingestion strategies, EPS/licensing estimates, Sentinel cost optimization approaches, and integration models
    - Build end-to-end solution architectures for Managed SOC, threat detection, SOAR automation, VAPT scopes, cloud security controls, and compliance-focused services
    - Collaborate with internal SOC, DFIR, Cloud, and VAPT teams to ensure feasibility and delivery alignment
  • Proposal Development & RFP/RFQ Support
    - Develop high-quality technical proposals, SOWs, BOMs, architecture diagrams, and service descriptions
    - Respond to RFPs with detailed requirement mapping, use-case design, and compliance alignment
    - Craft customer-specific use-case matrices, test methods, and implementations (especially for Microsoft Sentinel and FortiSIEM opportunities)
    - Ensure proposals clearly communicate scope boundaries, benefits, differentiators, and pricing justification
  • Demonstrations, Workshops & POCs
    - Conduct product demonstrations of Microsoft Sentinel, FortiSIEM, SOAR, and SOC reporting capabilities
    - Run solution workshops to guide customers through architecture, data flow, log onboarding, integration and SOC workflows
    - Support proof-of-concept engagements, coordinate with technical teams, and document outcomes
  • Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Enablement
    - Work closely with BDMs, Sales, Marketing, and Delivery teams to craft compelling offerings
    - Provide input for datasheets, case studies, marketing collateral, and customer decks
    - Conduct internal knowledge sessions to uplift sales and consultant teams on SIEM, SOC, VAPT, and cloud security trends
  • Market & Domain Expertise
    - Keep up to date with cybersecurity market trends, threat intelligence, regulatory changes, and SIEM/SOC advancements
    - Analyze competitive offerings and articulate our strengths and differentiators
    - Understand BFSI, fintech, and enterprise customer environments and their cybersecurity drivers

Person Specification

  • Minimum 04+ years in cybersecurity, SOC operations, advisory, consulting, SIEM engineering, or presales
  • Experience working in an MSSP, SOC, or cybersecurity consulting environment is strongly preferred
  • Prior exposure to Microsoft Sentinel, FortiSIEM, or equivalent SIEM solutions is a significant advantage
  • Strong understanding of SOC workflows, detection engineering, incident response, and SIEM architecture
  • Ability to design security solutions aligned with customer maturity levels and compliance needs
  • Experience preparing technical proposals, SOWs, RFP responses, and architectural documentation
  • Good understanding of VAPT, cloud security controls (Azure/AWS/GCP), network security fundamentals, and ISO 27001
  • Skilled in creating architecture diagrams (Visio, draw.io), solution decks, and cost models
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities (business and technical)
  • Ability to engage with C-level and senior stakeholders confidently
  • Strong documentation, analytical thinking, and consultative selling skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
