Job Description

  • Custom Development & Enhancements
    - Customization Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of customer-specific customizations and new features on the Finacle platform
    - System Enhancements: Collaborate with business teams and customers to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and implement system improvements
    - Code Optimization: Ensure that customizations are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability
    - Integration: Work on integrating Finacle with other third-party systems and ensuring seamless data flow across platforms
  • Level 3 Support
    - Incident Management: Take ownership of complex technical issues and incidents, performing root-cause analysis and providing timely resolutions
    - Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that arise within the Finacle system, escalating when necessary
  • Project Management & Delivery
    - Project Execution: Manage and deliver Finacle-related customization projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, time, and budget
    - Customer Communication: Act as a liaison between customers, the project management team, and technical teams to ensure requirements are met and expectations are managed
    - Timely Delivery: Ensure that all commitments (customizations, report developments, and system upgrades) are delivered on time and meet quality standards
  • Collaboration and Team Support
    - Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to prioritize tasks and manage workloads effectively, ensuring smooth execution of ongoing support and development activities
    - Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and best practices with the team, helping to upskill colleagues and improve the team's overall efficiency and performance
    - Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed, especially in areas related to Finacle development and troubleshooting
  • Report Development & Porting Tasks
    - Report Design and Development: Lead the development of custom reports as part of upcoming system upgrade projects
    - Customization Porting: Handle the porting of existing customizations and reports to newer versions of Finacle, ensuring compatibility and correct functionality post-upgrade
  • Documentation & Quality Assurance
    - Technical Documentation: Produce detailed documentation on customization development, configuration, and support procedures to ensure clarity and consistency in future troubleshooting and enhancements
    - Code Review and Quality Control: Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and minimizing errors or technical debt
    - Testing and Validation: Collaborate with the BA/QA team to thoroughly test custom developments and system modifications, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements
  • Upcoming Projects Support
    - System Upgrade Projects: Take ownership of the report development tasks and customization porting for Finacle upgrade projects
    - CBS Implementation Support: Assist with the technical tasks related to the CBS implementation projects, including system setup, customization, and integration as required
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
    - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline development and support processes, recommending and implementing improvements
    - Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest Finacle platform updates, technologies, and industry trends to ensure the team is leveraging the most efficient and effective solutions

Person Specification

  • Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Technology/ Computer Science/ (or related fields)
  • Expertise in PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and Java with a strong focus on Finacle Customizations and Application support
  • 01-02 years of experience in Finacle CBS is a must
  • Overall working experience of 03-05 years
