Senior Engineer - Banking Technology

Job Description

• Participate in banking solution implementations, upgrades, and enhancement activities
• Analyze business and functional requirements and assist in system configuration and customizations
• Provide L2/L3 application support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution
• Support UAT, production deployments, and post–go-live activities
• Work closely with banking business users, vendors, and internal IT teams
• Assist in production incident handling, change requests, and system optimizations
• Perform impact analysis for changes and support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and maintain technical and operational documentation
• Guide and support junior team members as required

Person Specification

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Technology/ Computer Science, or a related field
• 3–5 years of overall work experience, including 1–2 years in software development and implementation
• Strong technical background with enterprise banking or financial systems
• Good understanding of banking business concepts (retail, corporate, or treasury exposure is an advantage)
• Experience in application support, system upgrades, or implementations in a banking or financial environment
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and batch/job monitoring
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with business users and stakeholders
